Our Story
Driven by a desire to deliver a higher level of personalized service, Fries Financial Group was established in December 2004 as an independent practice in northwest Wisconsin. In 2005, FFG managed roughly $40 million in client assets. Today, Tim and his team manage over $500 million. Over that time, the team has grown from two to eleven employees, including six Financial Advisors and five additional operations associates.
Brief Timeline of the Evolution of Fries Financial Group:
“Tim Fries graduates with a degree in Applied Mathematics from St. Louis University and begins his career in the investment industry.”
“Tim and his wife, Marie-Christine relocate to Chippewa Falls to establish a financial advisory practice.”
“Tim Fries & Michele Kressin establish Fries Financial Group at 718 Bay Street, Chippewa Falls, WI. $40M assets under management.”
“Tim Fries earns CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ status.”
“Cathy Johnson, Financial Advisor, establishes the second Fries Financial Group office at Northwestern Bank.”
“Fries Financial Group invests in the revitalization of downtown Chippewa Falls, relocating its headquarters to 11 E. Central Street, Chippewa Falls, WI.”
